IMPORTANT Update 15th January 2015

Elba Ground Rent Dispute
Update - 15/1/2015

We want to update fellow leaseholders on the current position in our dealings with the City & County of Swansea.

As agreed during our last public meeting on 4th December our Barristers Opinion was disclosed to the City & County of Swansea and the Action Group will be meeting with Council representatives this Friday afternoon, the 16th January.

We understand that the purpose of this meeting is to confirm both sides’ respective positions and discuss how we should then progress.

To feed back the outcome of the meeting, we have decided to hold 2 surgeries next week at 7:00pm on Tuesday, 20th and Wednesday, 21st January, at the Conservative Club, Sterry Road, Gowerton.

We must stress the importance to all affected leaseholders of attending these surgeries if at all possible, so that we can discuss our and the Council’s positions, gauge your own views on those and, ultimately, maintain a united front in dealing with this matter.

We cannot emphasise enough the importance of acting as a group at this point, as individual action by leaseholders is likely to be divisive and will weaken our overall position.

We would also suggest that leaseholders refrain from responding individually to any correspondence which they may receive from the Council following the meeting on the 16th.
