Keeping You Up to Date 9th July 2014



  • We handed over our Petition requesting a debate on the Residential Leaseholds System in Wales on the steps of the Senedd just before 1:00 pm on Wednesday 9th July.

         A big thank you to all the residents who were able to attend the handover of the 
         petition to members of the Assembly Petitions committee.

         Nick Llewellyn spoke about the proposed Ground Rent Increase by 
         Swansea City Council and its impact on residents and the community.

         This interview was broadcast during radio news bulletins, thank you Nick.


  • Special thanks to Davina and her family for their courage in giving an interview to the South Wales Evening Post.



  • Bethan Jenkins AM, held a surgery on the green opposite the Elba Sports Complex entrance on Saturday 5th July between 10am and 12pm.

        Over 20 residents visited the “Red Marquee” and had the opportunity to discuss 
        their problems and fears as a result of Swansea City Councils huge proposed
        ground rent increase.


  • Sue Jones will be holding her next surgery at Gowerton Library between 11:00am and 12:00noon on Saturday 12th July
